Attended VCI from September 1970and graduated from Grade 13 in June 1975. Went to Algonquin College from which graduated with honours and Eminent Student Award in Early Childhood Education in 1977.

Worked 2 years as Preschool Teacher in Aylmer QC then came back to the area. Got married to Luc Thibodeau in 1983 and had 2 sons, Alexis and Julien , then went on to work as Head Teacher and replacement Coordinator at Garderie Mironton-Mirontaine in Grenville QC.

In September 1990, accepted a position as Head Teacher at the Vankleek Hill Daycare to become the Daycare Coordinator in December of the same year.

Widowed in 1992, remarried in 2003 to Ronald Handfield and have 4 step children, Michael, Benjamin, Alyson and Cameron.

I am still employed by the Municipality of Champlain as Daycare Services Coordinator and am responsible for 3 daycares, 4 school-age services, and 25 employees.

I am the only one of my family of 10 to have attended VCI and am very proud I did.
